Overview

• Subclass 461 visa is for a person who is not a New Zealand citizen but the spouse, de facto partner or a child of a New Zealand citizen to live and work in Australia for 5 years.

• You may include your dependent children in your visa application so you can migrate to Australia together.

Location

• If you were outside Australia at the time of application, you must be outside Australia at the time of visa grant.

• If you were in Australia at the time of application, you must be in Australia at the time of visa grant.

Benefits

With this visa, you may:​

• live and work in Australia without limitations for 5 years

• apply for and be granted another Subclass 461 visa for unlimited times if eligible to remain in Australia

• travel overseas and back to Australia for any purposes (e.g. overseas holiday, visiting family and/or attending family matters in home country)

• access Australia’s public health care scheme (Medicare) which essentially provides free medical consultations, operations and hospitalization for a wide range of medical conditions

• study in Australia without any limitations

Application Fees​

You may include your dependent children in the application so your family can migrate to Australia together.

• Primary Applicant: $385

• Each additional applicant aged 18 or over: $195

• each additional applicant aged under 18: $95
